My name is Kayla and I am a Faithful Events bride turned coordinator! My husband and I got married on May 27th, 2022 and I am going to share some things about my wedding I absolutely loved and a few things I wish I would’ve done differently!

First of all, the things I loved.

I seriously could not have imagined my wedding day without Faithful Events Co! Mikaela was so amazing and made me fall in love with all things wedding. She has an attention to detail that blew me away and I’ve realized that even more as I’ve trained under her!

Secondly, I realized that florals truly set the vibe of a wedding. I hired Leah with Ribbon and Blooms and it was one of the best decisions I made! She made my pastel dreams come true and truly is the sweetest soul!

And my final piece of advice…choose details unique to your wedding! I had a green vintage car that we set aside time to take pictures with. I think it was such a fun addition to our big day!

And now on to the things I wish I would have done differently.

The main thing I regret is not doing a first look. The main reason I didn’t do a first look was because I thought it would take away from me walking down the aisle. As I’ve assisted with so many weddings that have done first looks, I’ve realized that walking down the aisle is still such a special and emotional moment! Doing a first look gives you more time for photos, takes away the stress of rushing, and also gives you so much more time with your guests!

Another thing I wished I would have done differently is to have a more unique and diverse dessert table. I loved our cake by Mishelle Handy Cakes, but wish I would have added some other fun desserts that our guests could choose from!

And lastly, I wish I had set aside more time to have with my guests. After my wedding,
my husband and I were going through our guest book and realized we didn’t even see some people that attended our wedding. I would have loved to talk to more of our guests and personally thank them for celebrating with us.
